I’m clueless as how to write this, which took me eons to do by the way. My lord. The anticipation and the constant onslaught of emotions I went through finding out about this book, waiting for it, reading it and saying goodbye to it, it was just beyond words. Contemporary romance is my go-to read to be honest but it’s so rare to find something that leaves you emotionally raw. Julie simply has the power to make you feel the reflection of the words written and everything in between by being that more vulnerable, intense, raw and witty. The beauty of her art will seriously question other novels out there.

Nathaniel Knox is an enigma of a person. Julie has the power to be able to make her men sensitive, mysterious, hard-shelled, brooding and sexy at the same time. From, his introduction to the story, his stand-offish behaviour, his ‘ugly’ personality, to his masked off vulnerability, it was captivating. I can’t say I haven’t enjoyed Julie’s men because damn, I have. From Finn, to Sebastian, now Nate, the journey was simply revelled. Even though it’s from one POV, Julie makes you feel as if you’re reading from his POV as well, including that with the why’s, how’s and what’s, it is intensely beautiful which is what gets you hooked from the get go.

Phoebe West, god, this girl! Everything about her was just simply mesmerising. From the first page, her over active brain, to her sarcastic, independent attitude? It's just stunning, weirdly unique and awe-inspiring. I want her to be my best friend. This character ain't your everyday normal, she's saying stuff you're not meant to in a certain situations, she fights for her independence, she hides behind her smiles and sarcasm, she's loyal without a fault, she's vulnerable to a point where she can't take it esp her heart, she's tries to turn negatives into positives, she's insecure, unsure, lonely, selfless, beautiful, everything a woman is, and she's a piece of us. My heart broke, bled, stopped, beated again with her story – the ups and downs, everything.

There's a reason why I seriously love Julie's writing hand and it's simple. She makes you question every word, the in between, the feels that give off emotions, ins and outs of the box, God! It's tremendously natural. Unless you don't Cross the Line and pick up a copy and read, you won't understand every single word and why. Oh and I so love Tinkerbell - her and Parker please. That's a firework waiting to go off. Julie is a creator, for sure.
