Blurb
A new dark romance series from the New York Times bestselling author of Twist Me
She fears him from the first moment she sees him. Yulia Tzakova is no stranger to dangerous men. She grew up with them. She survived them. But when she meets Lucas Kent, she knows the hard ex-soldier may be the most dangerous of them all. One night—that’s all it should be. A chance to make up for a failed assignment and get information on Kent’s arms dealer boss. When his plane goes down, it should be the end. Instead, it's just the beginning. He wants her from the first moment he sees her. Lucas Kent has always liked leggy blondes, and Yulia Tzakova is as beautiful as they come. The Russian interpreter might’ve tried to seduce his boss, but she ends up in Lucas’s bed—and he has every intention of seeing her there again. Then his plane goes down, and he learns the truth. She betrayed him. Now she will pay.   NOTE: Capture Me is the first book about Lucas & Yulia and has a cliffhanger-ish ending. It’s a long novella/short novel of approximately 45,000 words (about 200 pages) and is a spin-off from the Twist Me trilogy. It’s not necessary to have read that trilogy to enjoy Capture Me, but the book does contain major spoilers for books 2 and 3 of Twist Me.

Excerpt
Author’s Note: This is from Yulia’s POV. For those of you familiar with the Twist Me series, this scene takes place in Moscow, when Lucas & Julian were there to meet with the Russian officials.   He steps into my apartment as soon as the door swings open. No hesitation, no greeting—he just comes in. Startled, I step back, the short, narrow hallway suddenly stiflingly small. I’d somehow forgotten how big he is, how broad his shoulders are. I’m tall for a woman—tall enough to fake being a model if an assignment calls for it—but he towers a full head above me. With the heavy down jacket he’s wearing, he takes up almost the entire hallway. Still not saying a word, he closes the door behind him and advances toward me. Instinctively, I back away, feeling like cornered prey. “Hello, Yulia,” he murmurs, stopping when we’re out of the hallway. His pale gaze is locked on my face. “I wasn’t expecting to see you like this.” I swallow, my pulse racing. “I just took a bath.” I want to seem calm and confident, but he’s got me completely off-balance. “I wasn’t expecting visitors.” “No, I can see that.” A faint smile appears on his lips, softening the hard line of his mouth. “Yet you let me in. Why?” “Because I didn’t want to continue talking through the door.” I take a steadying breath. “Can I offer you some tea?” It’s a stupid thing to say, given what he’s here for, but I need a few moments to compose myself. He raises his eyebrows. “Tea? No, thanks.” “Then can I take your jacket?” I can’t seem to stop playing the hostess, using politeness to cover my anxiety. “It looks quite warm.” Amusement flickers in his wintry gaze. “Sure.” He takes off his down jacket and hands it to me. He’s left wearing a black sweater and dark jeans tucked into black winter boots. The jeans hug his legs, revealing muscular thighs and powerful calves, and on his belt, I see a gun sitting in a holster. Irrationally, my breathing quickens at the sight, and it takes a concerted effort to keep my hands from shaking as I take the jacket and walk over to hang it in my tiny closet. It’s not a surprise that he’s armed—it would be a shock if he wasn’t—but the gun is a stark reminder of who Lucas Kent is. What he is. It’s no big deal, I tell myself, trying to calm my frayed nerves. I’m used to dangerous men. I was raised among them. This man is not that different. I’ll sleep with him, get whatever information I can, and then he’ll be out of my life. Yes, that’s it. The sooner I can get it done, the sooner all of this will be over. Closing the closet door, I paste a practiced smile on my face and turn back to face him, finally ready to resume the role of confident seductress. Except he’s already next to me, having crossed the room without making a sound. My pulse jumps again, my newfound composure fleeing. He’s close enough that I can see the gray striations in his pale blue eyes, close enough that he can touch me. And a second later, he does touch me. Lifting his hand, he runs the back of his knuckles over my jaw. I stare up at him, confused by my body’s instant response. My skin warms and my nipples tighten, my breath coming faster. It doesn’t make sense for this hard, ruthless stranger to turn me on. His boss is more handsome, more striking, yet it’s Kent my body’s reacting to. All he’s touched thus far is my face. It should be nothing, yet it’s intimate somehow. Intimate and disturbing. I swallow again. “Mr. Kent—Lucas—are you sure I can’t offer you something to drink? Maybe some coffee or—” My words end in a breathless gasp as he reaches for the tie of my robe and tugs on it, as casually as one would unwrap a package. “No.” He watches as the robe falls open, revealing my naked body underneath. “No coffee.”

Blurb

I was warned about Tristan Cole.

“Stay away from him,” people said.
“He’s cruel.”
“He’s cold.”
“He’s damaged.”

It’s easy to judge a man because of his past. To look at Tristan and see a monster.

But I couldn’t do that. I had to accept the wreckage that lived inside of him because it also lived inside of me.

We were both empty.
We were both looking for something else. Something more.
We both wanted to put together the shattered pieces of our yesterdays.

Then perhaps we could finally remember how to breathe.

The Air He Breathes (Romance Elements, #1) by Brittainy C. Cherry

The Air He Breathes (Romance Elements, #1)The Air He Breathes by Brittainy C. Cherry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*** ARC provided by the Author for an honest review ***

"The heartbreak is worth those few moments of happiness, and the pieces of the shattered heart can be put back together. I mean, there will be cracks and scars, and sometimes this burning memory of the past, but that burn? It's just a reminder that you survived. That burning is your rebirth."

Recently, I was never was so excited about a book as I was with this one coming out and holy hell, Brittainy C. Cherry has done it again! From the enticing looking cover to the last pages of the book, I was just immensely captivated and it didn't stop. I was just left breathless from the sensations I went through, - the feelings of intensity, yearning, past hurts, the angst, finding happiness, joy, chemistry, the healing and falling in love! - My heart was wreaking havoc but it was perfectly balanced making it such a beautiful story where it's more than just a romance novel, it goes deeper than what it seems and that's the beauty of Brittainy's writing.

"It's okay to be hurt sometimes. It's okay to feel lost like you're wandering around in the dark. It's the bad days that make the good ones so much better"

Tristan Cole and Elizabeth Blaire are two people who will forever be embedded in my soul. Tristan is a Man I will never forget, he was blemished in darkness that started the moment he lost the two people completing his life and didn't fought for light until he came clashing with Elizabeth who herself was living in the same gloom. Tristan was a beautiful, broken man who made me want to wrap my arms around him and let him know he was good enough and positively, he made my ovaries get excited! There were times in the book where I felt he could've acted better towards certain situations but by coming back and fixing them made me overlook that anyway. Elizabeth, bless her heart, was definitely a woman who inspired me. Her strong-willed personality was just bewitching!!

"But as air moves in and out of my lungs,"-his tongue danced against the edge of my panties-"as long as I breathe, I will fight for you. I will fight for us".

"He and I together was a terrible idea. We were both unstable, we were both shattered, and there was no getting around it. He was thunder, I was lightening, and we were seconds away from creating the perfect storm."

There was one part of the book where I was earnestly shattered; having to fake who they were to each other and take advantage of that? it CRUSHED me, I haven't cried so much during a book in a while when I did in this one, goddamn! & that's when their despair, brokenness, hurt, darkness and anger with life hit me, it was gut-wrenching but I realized they won't be able to salvage themselves until they found the light in one another using their negatives and turning it light!

"No soulmate leaves the world alone, they always take a piece of their other half with them."

"Her touch healed me, her love saved me".

As, Elizabeth says in the Blurb.. 'We were both empty. We were both looking for something else. Something more. We both wanted to put together the shattered pieces of our yesterdays., it was what they were but using their hurts, they made two ugly, negative pasts into a beautiful bond by becoming each other's air to breathe'. Their lives together and individually left me with my heart ripping open and making me bleed, baring my all but becoming repaired again when time came and its true, time heals all, that's exactly what I felt and went through with them. Their vulnerability, comforting each other from pain, accepting their pasts, and fiercely loving each other was imperfectly beautiful!

"..the air he exhaled became the inhales that healed me"

"She breathed life into my lungs, making the dark shadows flood with light."

Overall, they were simply two emotionally broken, scarred people finding the antidote in each other. Moreover, having Emma, Faye, Mr. Henson and Sam, bought more life and character into the story and damn, that was just cherry on top! The feels I went through, good, bad and ugly, you do not want to miss out, so get pre-ordering now on OFFER too -> http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_...

"The magic is in the tiny moments. The small touches, the gentle smiles, the quiet laughs. The magic is about living for today and allowing yourself to breathe and be happy. My dear boy, to love is magic" - Mr Henson.

Loving Mr. Daniels by Brittainy C. Cherry

Loving Mr. DanielsLoving Mr. Daniels by Brittainy C. Cherry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"..Guilt was harsh, but hope was just as powerful a weapon"

Having this on my TBR for months long, begging to be read, I couldn't have waited much longer to be honest and goddamn, I'm so glad I've read it when I did.

Brittainy C. Cherry is a new author to me and I can say she is a perfectionist in expressing the right words to make you feel indescribable things. Now, I've got an immense guilty pleasure for forbidden romance novels and it's so rare to get ones that touch your heart and soul because there's too many out there that is just too predictable hence can get boring or whatever especially teacher/student but this book was totally opposite with the way you become captivated from page 1. Brittainy makes you feel the passion, rawness, chemistry, heartbreaks, joy, honesty, intensity and the most? The love, that ends you in a fucking mess of emotions.

"It was a pity that nice guys could hurt, because everyone knew that their hearts hurt the most."

"Touch me when you're gone. Leave me when you're near. Love me with my shattered pieces."- Romeo's Quest

Daniel Daniels and Ashlyn Jennings ' relationship is just as what the blurb says "Our love story wasn’t only about the physical connection. It was about family. It was about loss. It was about being alive. It was silly. It was painful. It was mourning. It was laughter". - and that's exactly what it was. Their beginning of the relationship was what every other introductions are - innocent, naive and pure.. Two lonely people looking for each other. You don't get to see the what's meant to be prohibited, instead you saw the fragile pieces that got them together and individually that makes them thus making them quintessential for each other. Their relationship was not at all boasting about sexual or the physical attraction, it was something deeper that you couldn't put into words and somehow you get the feeling what they're feeling too and that's the allurement of it.

"You know those people you could go years without seeing and when you finally get together it felt like no time had passed? Hold on to them people."

"Sometimes I feel like you're hiding behind your books to avoid reality."

What they went through separately as well as together, tore my heart and you'd have to read it to understand, because it's indescribable.
I sobbed, and smiled, and laughed,- my heart broke and it repaired with them!

"..Life sucks, Daniel. It sucks. It's mean, it's vicious, and it's unapologetic. It's dark and cruel. But then, sometimes, it's so beautiful that it knocks all of that darkness out of your system with the light."

Ashlyn is a character who I could relate to, how she felt 2nd best to not only her mother but her father and losing someone that was part of her, her sister - that ripped me but what made up for it was Hailey and Ryan and I seriously loved them - I was eternally grateful Ashlyn had them to be honest because she needed that family. But how it ended with Ryan, I sobbed, my heart couldn't take it, such a heartwarming person man! Damn, I miss him and I always will.
Now, Daniel, life didn't treat him good either but he survived facing trials and tribulations on the way. His vulnerability and selflessness even though his close ones tried to fought him, was just maddening! No relationship is worth it without hardships and personal struggles, that's why you have each other and find the light in each other.

"Memories were scary, how they could break you with simply your own thoughts."

"Right now, we were just two people made to screw up, fuck up, and learn new things. We were made perfectly imperfect."

The way Brittainy executed this story, it's faultless. It's bizarre how a book can rip you open and make you bleed. So much deaths, it was gut-wrenching but don't let that put you off, the beauty of this was learning how each different character coped through these in ways that completely differ plus it's laid out like you're receiving everyone's point of view not only the two people. And, and, and there's plenty of Shakespeare to be passed around!

"Leave the past behind you so the future can find you"

"What do you want to be when you grow up? Because growing up never stops, and dreaming never ceases"- Ryan.
